Things to review before your race event
Location
- Ensure that your location is reserved and opened up one hour before the race start time.
- We recommend that you have at least one table reserved for cars to park between races.
- Please wait to setup chairs until the track is setup.
Pre-Registration
- To pre-register racers, click on Upcoming Races and then click on the Add Racers button next to your race event.
- Include first and last names of all the racers that are invited to race.
- This list will be used during registration to check in the racers.
- Names will be added and deleted as needed during the registration process.
Registration and Weigh-in
- The registration process will start 30 minutes before the race start time. Please inform participants to arrive at this time.
- If you have more than 30 racers, please consider weighing in cars the night before the race event. Cars should be secured in a safe place to ensure that cars were not altered since the weigh-in.
- During registration, all racers will need to weigh-in their car and complete a test run down the track.
- We need you to manage weighing in all the cars while we manage the test runs on the track.
- The Cub Scout rules allow cars to weigh 5 oz or less. This works for most race events but can modified as needed.
- We recommend you only use one scale to weigh the cars. If you do not have a scale, we can lend you a scale.
Awards
- At the end of the race, we will print out a standings list. This will let you know your 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
- You will need to provide the awards for your racers. In the past, we have seen trophies, certificates and candy bars used as awards.
- When announcing the winners, we recommend starting with the lowest award and working up to the highest award.
For example, announce 3rd place, 2nd place, and then 1st place.
Payment
- The total cost can vary depending on the number of racers participating. After all the racers are registered, the total cost will be calculated.
- Payment is due at the end of the race event.
- We accept Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, and Venmo. Credit card payments will include a 4% processing fee.
- A receipt will be emailed to you after payment is received.
