Frequently Asked Questions

We do race events for the Cub Scouts, church groups, family reunions, birthday parties, company parties, and many other groups that want to race cars.

Race events range between $100 - $150 depending on the number of racers involved in the event. Some locations will have an additional travel fee. To get a more accurate cost for your event, create your own quote on the Get A Quote page.

The travel fee is to cover the cost of fuel to travel to your location and back. Locations beyond 60 miles from Rigby, Idaho will have a travel fee included. The quote will include the travel fee if it applies. See more details on the Race Locations page.

The total amount due will be calculated after all the racers are registered. Payment is not due until the end of the race event. After payment is received, a receipt will be emailed to the contact person.

You can prepay for a race event. Contact Spencer to have an invoice emailed to you. Typically the invoice will be for the minimum amount for the event. Then if there are any additional charges, they will be invoiced at the end of the race.

A race event can have between 8 and 60 racers. The best group size is between 20 and 24 racers. When the group is greater than 30 racers, we reduce the number of race heats per racer to keep the event shorter.

Our goal is to keep the race event between 60 and 70 minutes long. See more details on the Race Event Agenda page.

Subgroups serve to differentiate between various groups, without altering the racing schedule. Following the completion of the races, subgroups are utilized to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners within each subgroup.

For instance, your group could comprise both boys and girls who race against each other. At the end of the race, the computer will identify the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for the boys subgroup and another 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for the girls subgroup.

No. This is an option for groups that want to have multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

We typically see the following subgroups:
Boys, Girls, Leaders
Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos
Classic, Modified
Ward 1, Ward 2

The Classic car type is for all cars that follow the BSA rules. These cars weigh 5 oz or less.
The Modified car type is for all cars that weigh more than 5 oz and/or have modified wheels.
To see more details, see the Car Design Rules page.

After the speed races are completed, we insert the loops into the track. Then we allow racers a chance to see if their car can make it through the loops. This is a great distraction for everyone while the leaders determine the awards for the racers. Racers are not required to race with the loops in the tracks.

1- Reserve the building location for the race event
2- Pre-register the racers
3- Prepare awards for the racers
See more details on the Final Checklist page.
